Caller on 606 says Noble has had his day ....
He started off ok, saying what a player Payet looks , but then went on about how MArk has no pace , and we have out grown him.

Wrighty talked some sense into him, but the mentality of some people , im not saying he's a bad bloke , but how do people come to these conclusions, is beyond me.

Fans in having differing opinions on a player shocker.

Noble has some very good qualities and some frustrating ones.

Surprising the bloke chose yesterdays game to mention it after as he played very well. But not surprised to hear people finding him frustrating, I do too at times.

It is not really about different opinions though is it Mr P? How can one fan think Noble is crap and another that he was brilliant? Those two opinions are the complete opposite of each other so one is a know nothing and the other is probably half right.

Doesn't matter which. Noble is not world class - he's good for WH though....

I am one who doubts his ability.

But I am very very happy to be proved wrong.

The truth is everyone plays better when the whole team gives in a full hard shift.

He couldn't get near the ball for the first half hour but he was very good in the second half.

Noble has his lilitations and I'm not sure he should be starting. Good squad player who had a good game yesterday.

Considering he got booked 3-4 minutes in I thought he had a decent game.

How anyone can knock any one of our starting 11 from yesterday is beyond me.

Can't please some bods.

Thought Noble had a good game yesterday, lead by example, passed the ball well and worked hard for the team when we didn't have the ball. He looks a very different player when he has players with decent movement around him

I've always said that Noble lacks that extra yard that would make him a very good player he reads the game well and lays off some very intelligent balls but that lack of pace often let's his game down.

Good player. Had a decent game against Arse.

But when you look at the squad he has to be one of the players in the first team who is under pressure to retain his position.

He does lack pace which severely hampers his game at the top level. But he breaks up play and links the team together well. Just wish he would score and make more goals.

With the emergence of Oxford, Song likely to sign on deadline day and Obiang still to come back, in 12 months time Noble may well be 5th or 6th choice. Until then, I'm sure he'll work his socks off, just like he did yesterday.

I'm not his biggest fan, but he had a good game yesterday. I still don't think he is quick enough of mind or body to be a really good player, but he could be part of a squad.

Re: Caller on 606 says Noble has had his day ....
I've been critical of Noble this summer but with Payet about yesterday I thought he grew into the game as it went on and ended very strong. The ball to him with the outside of his boot that led to the goal for example. That trickery on the corner after getting the ball from Payet.

I'm not sure people will remember it much, but when Di Canio joined we had Sinclair at wing back who kind of stood still for a few months. When Di Canio played he really made Sinclair work hard and linked up with him in matches very well. He went from average performances to a higher standard very quickly just having Di Canio around.

Hopefully Payet will do this to a few around him this year too. Going on yesterday's game I think that will happen.
